Students shortlisted World Stage Design / Theatre Architecture Competition 2025!

2025/7/15

Students from our institute have been selected to exhibit at the World Stage Design / Theatre Architecture Competition, an international architectural competition focused on stage and theatre design. Two student teams were chosen as finalists and will exhibit their work this October in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

  • Yi Hsu: Pearl of Sharjah

  • Li-Chung Chan & Meng-Chi Chiang: Sand-Party: Performing Objects and Unformed Sandscape

This competition is recognized by the Taiwan Ministry of Education as a Second-Tier Strategic International Design Competition, and the selected students will receive an official grant award from the ministry.

World Stage Design (WSD) is a prestigious international event held every four years. It brings together designers from around the world to showcase interdisciplinary experimentation in space, installation, and theatre arts.

This year’s event will take place in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The selection process was highly competitive, and we are proud that three of our students have stood out among many global submissions — a remarkable achievement!
