This course invites architecture students to explore contemporary technological media—including automation tools, websites, booklets, and presentations—as a way to understand systems behind socioeconomic operations, brand power, and the fundamental logic of business. The goal is to creatively address the challenge of housing shortage.
We chose social housing as the project focus to allow students more flexibility to design their own development models. Unlike commercial housing, the “return” on social housing may include public perception, political support, or overall social benefit, opening up more possibilities for quantifiable and automatable strategies.
For the final review, we’ve invited interdisciplinary guests from the architecture and construction ecosystem—including professionals from structural design, urban planning, real estate development, and marketing—to provide a more comprehensive view of the industry and spark constructive discussion.
Join us this Thursday for an engaging review session featuring four students’ social housing proposals and their brand-driven project websites!
