The 12th X-site Program (2025) awards its top prize to Studio Superficial for “Pore City: An Occupation Plan”, a landscape-art installation inspired by the urban heat island effect. Simulating the human body’s cooling mechanism, 142 misting “pores” are embedded across the plaza to release heat and reshape the thermal environment. The project integrates movement, perception, and public programs—including sound performances, yoga, meditation, and herbal workshops—encouraging visitors to reconnect with the climate of the city through embodied experience.
