This program offers the Master in Architecture II (M.Arch. II), a post-professional degree. It admits students who already hold a four- or five-year Bachelor of Architecture degree and have strong interest in architecture, interdisciplinary research, planning, and strategy.
This program is combined with the Digital Design Program under the admission category of Design Research (Group A). Applicants should select Group A (Design Research) and indicate “Architecture Design” as their area of specialization on the application form.
This program represents the mainstream of advanced architectural education, aiming to integrate design, digital technologies, and other interdisciplinary expertise through innovative approaches. Students are strongly encouraged to take courses across programs and pursue advanced design research. The goal is to cultivate future leaders in architectural design, collaborative innovation, and urban design in the digital era.
At the end of the first semester, students may choose to focus on Architecture Design Research (M.Arch. II) or Digital Design Research (MS in Architecture).
The program regularly invites award-winning architects to teach design studios, hosts international architects and designers for workshops, and encourages students to participate in international competitions, exhibitions, study trips, and project-based internships. Through these opportunities, students are expected to build both global perspectives and sensitivity to diverse environments.
Core courses include advanced architectural design studios, shared courses with the Digital Design Program such as Design Computing Foundations and Design Research Methodology, as well as electives in digital media. The program trains students to address design challenges in the digital era, integrate advanced technologies into research, and develop innovative approaches. Our faculty and students frequently win national and international competitions, exhibit at global architecture events, and initiate community-based design projects, putting their learning into practice.
Completion of 28 credits, including 2 design studios, 1 design research methodology course, and 6 seminars.
The final graduation design project must pass the Design Oral Examination Committee and be shortlisted in national or international design competitions.
