Professor Jen-Hwang Ho specializes in integrative spatial strategies, architectural and urban design, and design criticism. His design pedagogy emphasizes adaptability, morphogenesis, and parametric design within the framework of sustainability and ecological considerations. His teaching advocates a research-driven approach that values risk-taking, innovation, exploration, and experimentation, while also requiring critical and avant-garde perspectives as well as meaningful form-making and design strategies.

He views architecture as the orchestration of events and resources, positioning the architect not only as an author but also as an agent—assisting stakeholders in creating the conditions for architecture to emerge, while cultivating spatial aesthetics and value formation in the process.
